The Committees
-
Head of Committee: Effy Grivas
As the name suggests, this committee is in charge of creating events and collaborations for the Maastricht University community, focused on both academic awareness of sustainability and student activism, but also on social activities and bringing likeminded people together.
We organize an annual recruitment period, published on our Instagram, at the start of the academic year, for opportunities to join this committee. However, if you would like to try to join during the academic year, or just have a great idea you’d like to share with the committee, send an email to the Head of Committee. They will determine if spaces for collaboration can be made!
-
Head of Committee: Clara Servais
This committee brings together the elected university and faculty councillors to discuss, plan, and assist in group action within the various governing bodies of Maastricht University.
KAN members join this committee if they get successfully elected into the University Council or a Faculty Council through KAN during the UM annual elections.
-
Head of Committee: Felipe de Carvalho
This committee is in charge of preparing, organizing, and monitoring the KAN Party during the annual UM elections. They select candidates, prepare lists, monitor campaigning progress, ensure the Code of Conduct is respected, and work with candidates to prepare and publicize policies during the elections cycle.

Generally, one committee member is selected per faculty. Members of this committee, for availability and workload purposes, are not generally allowed to run in the elections as candidates themselves.
